Urimi Show
Agriculture is the backbone of Kenya’s economy. It provides the main source of livelihood for the majority of people.
Urimi (meaning agriculture in Gikuyu language) profiles a selection of farmers from all over the country; from those employing modern and environmentally friendly farming techniques to small-scale farmers producing exotic fruits and vegetables for both the domestic and export markets.
The show discusses the many obstacles faced by farmers such as climate challenges, availability of seed, technology, markets and finance, and offers advice from successful farmers on how these may be overcome
