Many famous personalities – from footballers, musicians, politicians and business people started life in the slums. They are successful today because they refused to stay in the slums. Street Hope is recorded in Kibera slums and features lively conversations with youth groups who explore various initiatives they can engage in to live more productive lives like many successful people before them who grew up in the slums. They discuss the challenges they face in their daily lives and are counselled by a Pastor who co-hosts the show. The primary theme of the show is that poverty is first and foremost a state of the mind.
