Senior Chief Mbure discusses challenges facing the youth today and gives insights and advice on how young adults can overcome hurdles encountered in their daily lives. Answering questions posed by our interviewer, Chief Mbure reflects on the morals and values upheld by our forefathers and advocates for the upholding of these values in the present day. He emphasises the importance of the youth remaining knowledgeable about Gikuyu culture even as they adapt Western culture. He maintains that even in contemporary life, the youth should uphold the traditional fundamental values of honesty, a work ethic, respect for the elders, a morally upright life and respect for the environment.
